A Mother’s Heart
She sits alone in a corner, She just slumped across her bed A Bible rests upon her bosom Its promise her daily bread. Her daughter is studying at college It seems that her way is finally straight Her son, the baby, heard strange voices That led him away from her nest.
How could this have happened After years of struggles and pain? How could the Lord have allowed this Just when her faith seemed to gain?
She felt closer to the Lord than ever She had such hunger to learn How could she not have seen it coming Her son slipping into dark domains?
Life is not easy these days Right and wrong are made to blend Mothers and fathers are struggling To make each the voice that's heard.
Everyone is a pawn and a victim It is satan's favorite game Let us destroy the children And the Father's plans are tamed.
But there is a Word that was Written And in black and white it states That God will bless your children For a thousand years ahead.
It's because you love Jesus That your faith is being weighed Your stance is being questioned But you know you did your best.
Having done all then stand Stand therefore and be brave The Lord sees all your tears And He who laughs last laughs Best.
