Bible Study

Bible studies and fellowship meetings will be held every month, a calendar of such meetings will be posted shortly. We will seek to be taught by the Holy Spirit to renew our minds by the Word of the Living God in order that we might be fruitful in all things pertaining to life and godliness. To me that translates into walking without fear, attempting things that I've never done before, venturing forth on mission trips, speaking forth God's Word wherever there is an opening, become the hands of the Lord in helping others in need, laying hands on the sick that they might recover, teaching and preaching in season and out of season, casting out demons and walking in the "good works" that the Lord prepared for us to walk in since the beginning of time.

WORD IN DUE SEASON

Cary Navarro

By now most, if not all, of our New Year's resolution have fallen by the wayside completely, or are slowly diminishing in their importance. I guess the most consistent characteristic of the human race is that most of us tend to be inconsistent in our decisions and endeavors. Look around and you will find unfinished books, crossword puzzles, sleeveless sweaters which you started knitting maybe a year ago to give as a Christmas gift… our intentions are good, but our actual performance may be half-hearted. I have heard it said many times that the way to hell is paved with good intentions.

The word of a man or a woman used to be his or her bond. One's word could be given in place of a payment as surety. Sadly though, even our vows and promises have become empty and conditional.

After taking a look at my life, and seeing that my only consistent trait is that I fail and make mistakes which I'm sure sadden the Father heart of God, I have concluded that the one thing that abounds is errors and failures. I have come to the Lord with my hands full of them and said to Him that the only thing I know for sure in my life is this:

 1. HE IS THE ONLY CONSTANT AMID MY INCONSISTENCIES.

 2. THE ONE THING I KNOW ABOUT MYSELF IS THAT I'M PRONE TO FALLS

3. THE ONE THING I BELIEVE BEYOND ANY DOUBT ABOUT OUR GOD IS THAT THE FATHER WILL NEVER TURN ME AWAY WHEN I COME WITH A HUMBLE HEART.

So, therefore, I have determined to give the Lord my weaknesses. As many times as I fall, I will come quickly to the Throne of grace to find mercy in time of need.

I implemented this in my life a few years ago, and it is the only resolution I've been able to keep. My knees may be scraped from the falls, but He has dried my tears.

 Love,

 Cary
